Parent Infant Partnership (PIP) UK is proud to work with our network of local PIPs and in partnership with a range of organisations who share a common vision to give every baby the best possible start in life in the conception to age 2 period - the first 1001 days. Our partners span the range of statutory and voluntary services across health, education and social care and who believe in a preventative strategy for vunerable babies and their families, working together to create a universal, holistic and seamless pathway in the first 1001 days of a child's life.
Our network of PIP partners provide a range of spcialist clinical parent infant work in their local communities to support vulnerable babies who are struggling to form a secure bond with their primary caregiver (which can include mother, father, foster carer, adoptive parent, grandparent) and form a vital component of a perinatal strategy.
Our charity facilitates the 1001 Critical Days Campaign whose coalition includes over 100 partner organisations and which can be found on our sister website www.1001criticaldays.co.uk
The PIP UK network of parent-infant partnerships (infant mental health teams) exists to share and build upon a data base of the full range of information needed to implement and sustain a specialist early intervention service. This includes practice-based evidence for different therapeutic modalities, relevant research in attachment and infancy, and knowledge of current and future government policies that will affect the provision of services designed to help vulnerable families during the first 1001 critical days. The overall task of PIP UK is to promote universal access to specialised early years therapeutic services based in both the voluntary and statutory sector, and any enquiries that will further this aim are welcome.
Colloboration and partnership working is critical to our success and to realise the vision to give every baby the best possible start in life. At PIP UK we believe in order to create a better future for the UK - one baby at a time, will take strong national and local leadership which entails:
- Shared Risk
- Shared Resources
- Shared Rewards
- Shared Vision
- Shared Values
We would be delighted to hear from organisations who would like to further share our vision to give every baby the best possible start in life by either:
1) Pledging your committment to the 1001 Critical Days work
2) Joining the PIP network of specialist infant parent services that we facilitate
Thank you to all our partners who are driving a public health change for better outcomes for children and families in their local communities up and down the UK.
